2012 Volkswagen Beetle


Volkswagen has decided to make its more useful update in 21st century with its new model named as Volkswagen Beetle. This third generation VW Beetle unwrapped today in the world premiere at the 2011 Sanghai Auto Show and New York Auto Show.The newest interpretation of the Bug comes 73 years after the launch of the original Beetle in 1938, which sold an amazing 21.5 million units, and 13 years after the debut of the New Beetle in 1998 that managed to sell a little over 1 million units until production ended in 2010. The new Beetle is looking flatter as well as looking as a Coupe. The new Beetle will come with three types of engine as  the 2.5-liter five cylinder, the 2.0-liter Clean Diesel and the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine.


A customer can choose a 5-speed manual or 6-speed auto on the 2.5-liter models. A six-speed manual will be standard on the diesel and 2.0-liter turbo engine, with the 6-speed DSG dual clutch optional. There will be two trim lines for this VW model as "Design" and "Sport" and it will be available with a panoramic roof. It will be with a tilt/slide glass which is designed to block 99 percent of UV radiation and 92 percent of heat energy. The interior of this VW model is 71.2 inches wide (3.3 inches wider), 58.5 inches tall (.5 inches lower) and 168.4 inches long (6 inches longer). The new focal point is the C-pillar.
