Porsche is very much well known for its wide variety of product with well performance and in the coming future it is going to launch so many hybrid models for the car market. After Porsche 911 GT3 RS Hybrid, the 2011 Porsche Cayenne S Hybrid and the 2012 Porsche Panamera Hybrid, Porsche confirmed the production of another hybrid vehicle to the market as Porsche 918 Spyder. The concept version of this model was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier in 2010.
The production of this Porsche 918 Spyder could begin in 2013. According to different sources the starting price of Porsche 918 Spyder would be $650,000. "Production of the 918 Spyder in a limited series proves that we are taking the right approach with Porsche Intelligent Performance featuring the combination of supreme performance and efficient drivetrain concepts," said Michael Macht, President and Chairman of the Board of Management of Porsche AG.
Porsche have implemented the capacity to improve the fuel economy of this 918 Spyder hybrid. This model will contain a 3.4liter V-8 engine with 500 horsepower. One of the unique features that have been added to this Porsche 918 Spyder is the choice of four drive modes: E-drive, Hybrid, Sport Hybrid and Race Hybrid. This is now to wait and see the unveiling of this advanced Porsche model.
